Reviews On Nintendo Wii
For several months prior to the release of the Nintendo Wii, a lot of people
were overly excited to the prospect of getting their hands on the video game
product that is said to revolutionize the gaming experience. There have been
several rumors circulating about the specifications and feature of the
product, while some people are actively comparing the Sony’s PS3 and
Nintendo Wii since they were scheduled to be released on the same moth. This
certainly further aggravated the rivalry between the two manufacturing
companies both with a globally renowned reputation.
The Nintendo Wii was finally released last November 19, 2006 and
unsurprisingly a lot of people came in droves to get hold of their own
latest gadget from the Nintendo family. However, soon after its release
there has some not so raving reviews on Nintendo Wii, claiming that its
popularity were just all media hype. Apparently, there were a number of
gaming experts who said that the Wii’s hardware significantly fell sort to
that of Microsoft’s Xbox 360 and Sony’s PS3. Several side-by-side
comparative reviews on Nintendo Wii and Sony PS3 would indicate that the
latter is certainly offers supreme quality, marking the Wii as the ‘old
school’ and the PS3 as the ‘new school’. The reason behind this labeling is
the fact that a lot people agree that although Nintendo have been in the
frontline in the video gaming industry as long as we could all remember, it
cannot simply keep up with the new demands of the market and the different
preferences of people. There are even some reviews on Nintendo Wii that have
gone to such lengths as to saying that the mere comparison between the two
have been quite comical to say the least. Much of these sentiments were the
result of people who were quite disappointed by Nintendo after the long wait
and anticipation.
However, in some areas there have been some favorable reviews on Nintendo
Wii, particularly its sleek design and innovative wireless controllers. The
controls are also equipped with speakers, which means that players can enjoy
an enhanced surround sound effect that you will not be able to find in other
competing products. Aside from that, it has backward compatibility that
means you can play the old Nintendo games that you have grown to love in
your new console. And the most important thing is that the Nintendo Wii is
available at almost half the price of the Sony PS3, a very important factor
that we all shouldn’t overlook.
Although Sony has won hands down on its processor, we cannot discount the
fact that most people are not really that particular with the specs of the
product. Some are content on playing the family-friendly games that they
have grown to love over the years. As long as it can perform rather well, a
lot of people would readily settle for that.
